The problem is not that we’re tired moms.
The problem is when we get sucked into spirals of anxiety, resentment, discouragement, chronic fatigue, and so on.
The problem is when we settle for neglecting our health because we think taking time for ourselves takes away our ability to serve others.
The problem is when we feel STUCK and HOPELESS.
But it doesn’t have to be that way!
I’m honored and thrilled to join Lisa Marino, DPT, and Erin Hazelbaker, MPT, of Victress Health and Wellness, LLC in the “Tired Moms Retreat Night” on April 14 from 6-9 p.m. in Anna, Ohio.
The goal of the retreat night is to offer moms ENCOURAGEMENT in the midst of their struggles, as well as a PRACTICAL PATH to overcoming the barriers to feeling fulfillment and satisfaction in your vocation.
As a Catholic author, you might be wondering why I’m teaming up with a wellness clinic – and I’d love to explain!
First, Victress Health is owned and operated by faithful Catholic women (I mean, even the name is in honor of the Blessed Mother!). Their Catholic faith informs their work providing care that honors the dignity of the human person, made in the image and likeness of God.
Second, their values align with the Cowdens: both by empowering families to be advocates for their health, and offering affordable and ethical healthcare services.
Third, they don’t just address the physical health needs of families – they also care for the mental and spiritual health of their clients, key components of their mission. Body, mind, and soul are connected in ways many do not even realize, and there are more and more studies showing the impact of mental and spiritual health on chronic illnesses and overall physical health outcomes.
It makes perfect sense then for the co-author of “The Prayer Book for Tired Parents” to join forces with Victress Health because, with the Tired Moms Retreat Night in particular, we share the goal of helping moms target the reasons they’re fatigued beyond the reasonable expectations of being a “tired parent.” Whether you’re dealing with extraordinary stress from work, discord in the home, or an underlying health issue, you are worthy of having those issues addressed so you can be on your way to peace and true wellness.
If you’re in the Southwest/West Central Ohio area, let your husband put the kids to bed on Friday night and join us for a night of rejuvenation and HOPE. Every registrant will receive a copy of “The Prayer Book for Tired Parents,” included in their registration, and we’ll also have refreshments to enjoy (it’s Friday of the Octave of Easter, so we’ll have some delicious options!).
Mary, Queen and Victress of Schoenstatt, pray for us!
