What a treat to join Johnnette Williams on ‘Women of Grace’ this week!
I’ve known her almost the entire time I’ve worked at the Network – when I moved to Birmingham in September of 2013, I was onboarded by her line producer; I field-produced EWTN’s coverage of the 2015 World Meeting of Families, which she co-hosted; she and I co-hosted EWTN Religious Catalogue together on Mother Angelica’s original set, as well as the new set, and although I see her less frequently after our family moved to Ohio, it’s still an honor to work with her and to pass her at the Network.
I’ve always looked up to her as a model of Catholic womanhood and overall excellence. So you can imagine my joy when Dave and I were asked to appear on her show to talk about “The Prayer Book for Tired Parents: Practical Ways to Grow in Love of God and Get Your Family to Heaven.” As a mother and grandmother, Johnnette knows how exhausting parenting is, and how difficult it is to raise holy children in today’s age (we should have been asking HER the questions!).
She also knows the joys and the precious memories that come with the vocation.
I could listen to Johnnette all day. She’s a delightful colleague, a font of spiritual wisdom, a talented TV host and producer, a hardworking Disciple of Christ, and a gift to the Church and women worldwide.
